CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A man faces charges after police say he beat and strangled his wife in their motel room in Chattanooga last weekend.
An affidavit we obtained says officers responded to a domestic violence call at a Super 8 in Chattanooga on February 9th. It says officers came into the room to find a woman whose face was covered in blood, bruises and cuts. Officers say there was blood splattered on the beds in the room.
The affidavit says the woman told officers that her husband, Christopher Brian Wooten, had beaten her up just before midnight. She told officers that she tried to leave the room, but Wooten threw her against a chair. She said she also tried to call the front desk and 911 for help using both the hotel phone and her cell phone, but Wooten broke both of them…
