Mount Pleasant finances strong, mayor cites infrastructure growth and sales tax talks

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) — The town of Mount Pleasant is financially strong and continues to invest in growth, Mayor Will Haynie said during his annual State of the Town address.

He highlighted infrastructure spending and economic development efforts before addressing a recent controversy involving the police department.

In a video presentation shown Thursday, Haynie outlined how taxpayer dollars were spent over the past year, including investments in first responders, road improvements and parks.
