Woman killed in Valentine’s Day crash on Cleveland’s east side

CLEVELAND (WJW) — Cleveland police are continuing to investigate after a woman was killed and another woman was injured in a crash on the city’s east side early Saturday morning.

Lanes reopen on I-90 after flooding

Police were called to the area of St. Clair Avenue and East 107th Street just after 2:30 a.m. for reports of a crash.

Upon arrival they learned the driver of the vehicle had been going east on St. Clair when they failed to properly go around a curve and went off the road into a pole and brick sign.

The passenger in the vehicle, a 25-year-old, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. The 28-year-old driver had minor injuries but was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police said they believe speed contributed to the crash and that both occupants were not wearing seatbelts. No one has been charged in this incident…
