Cincinnati manufacturers merge following acquisition

CINCINNATI (Cincinnati Business Courier) – A Greater Cincinnati aerospace and defense manufacturer and a local machine company are merging following an acquisition by a private equity firm.

Washington, D.C.-based Ventus Industrial Partners, which invests in national security-related sectors, formed a new holding company Jan. 2 called Aeron Defense in order to acquire Reading-based General Tool Co. and Forest Park-based Magna Machine.
