THIS WEEKEND:Valentine’s Day is starting out chilly with temps well into the 30s, but in some spots where clouds have starting increase, temps are in the mid 40s. We’ll see mostly cloudy skies with some breaks of sun for today. There could be a sprinkle, but for the most part, we should be rain-free today. Highs today will be in the mid to upper 60s. In the overnight tonight, we’ll start to see some scattered showers break out, but these should be fairly light until early morning. Sunday morning, a line of showers and storms should be approaching the area by 7am. Between 7am and 1pm, we will be WEATHER AWARE for the possibility of a few storms becoming storng to severe. However, the greatest risk for any severe weather is further south. Highs tomorrow will be in the mid to upper 60s.
NEXT WEEK:Monday, we’ll be transitioning to sunny skies as any leftover clouds exit out early. Highs on Monday will be near 70°. Tuesday will be another really nice day with lots of sunshine, warming us into the low 70s. Wednesday, look for partly cloudy skies with an isolated shower possible and afternoon highs again in the low 70s. Thursday and Friday we’ll warm into the mid to upper 70s with an isolated shower Thursday, and scattered showers on Friday.NEXT WEEKEND:Early Saturday is looking wet as a frontal system moves into the area. There is some uncertainty on whether that frontal system clears the area during the day, or stalls a bit, and doesn’t clear until Sunday. There could be a few storms on Saturday. It’s way too early to determine whether or not severe weather will be on the table, so stay tuned to the First Alert Weather Team throughout the week for the latest.
