Pitt County, NC — An arrest has been made in connection to a violent home invasion that occurred earlier this week in the Cherry Oaks neighborhood of Greenville, according to the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives arrested 21-year-old Zaid Mayen of Chapel Hill on Friday, February 13. The arrest was carried out with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service and the Chapel Hill Police Department.
Mayen has been charged with:
- First Degree Burglary (Felony)
- Assault With a Deadly Weapon With Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury (Felony)
- First Degree Kidnapping (Felony)
- First Degree Forcible Sex Offense (Felony)
