Two busted after dog finds 9 pounds of suspected meth, Bay Area deputies say

Two men were arrested after a dog with the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office alerted deputies to 9 pounds of suspected meth in the trunk of a vehicle, authorities said.

The K9 detected drugs in a briefcase after deputies obtained consent for a search during a traffic stop around Highway 37 at Lakeville Highway, the sheriff’s office said Friday.

Deissy Rodriguez-Mondragon, 24, and Dionicio Navarro, 23, were arrested on suspicion of possessing narcotics for sale, transporting narcotics and conspiracy, the sheriff’s office said. They were booked into Sonoma County Jail and released on zero bail. No other details about the case were released…
