Baton Rouge man arrested after standoff in Plaquemine Feb. 11

Deputies from Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office announced additional charges Friday against a Baton Rouge man on one count of attempted second-degree murder following a multi-hour standoff Feb. 11 in north Plaquemine.

The IPSO added one count of attempted second-degree murder, two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, one count of domestic abuse, one count of simple battery and one count of theft of a firearm to the charges against Eric Goss.

Eric Goss, 41, allegedly shot the victim on Nicholas Street. Deputies had found the victim upon their arrival when they responded to a call to a residence there, according to Sheriff Brett Stassi…
