The Nebraska State Poet will be presenting this month at Northeast Community College.
Jewel Rodgers, who is an Omaha native who was named the Nebraska State Poet more than a year ago, will be speaking on Wednesday, February 25, at 4 p.m. at Union 73 near the coffee shop. She is serving a five-year term as state poet.
Rodgers is a 2025 Academy of American Poets Fellowship recipient, and a 2025 AIRIES Fellow.
