CHICAGO (WGN) — Emergency crews have responded to an apparent house fire in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood late Friday afternoon.
Fire crews are currently working in the 1100 block of N. Central Ave. SkyCam9 flew above the scene, capturing firefighters on the roof of a burning home and an adjacent structure amid a plume of smoke. Scanner radio suggests some occupants of the home may be trapped inside.
WGN is working to confirm and has reached out to the Chicago Fire Department for additional details. No word on what sparked the blaze…
