Goddard School to open its doors in Peoria

Following five months of construction and preparation, the Goddard School has opened its doors to the Peoria community. As the team makes final touches and prepares for a state licensing visit, Owners JoEllen Johnson and Kimberly Camarillo said they are thrilled to be welcoming the location’s first class of littles in late February.

“I would say it’s been a long process — but the reason for it taking so long is that we’ve been very meticulous about the details of our construction to make sure that we have a premier facility that is safe in every way, shape and form for children to attend,” Camarillo said. “We are ready for them.”

The Goddard School of Peoria is currently accepting and scheduling tours of the building for prospective students and their families. The early childhood education center accommodates 150 students, ranging from infancy to preschool — preparing the young ones to move on to kindergarten. According to Johnson, the infancy program has drawn the most enrollment, as available spots are filled quickly each day…
