BELLEVUE, Wash. — Law enforcement agencies from four Eastside cities have launched a regional task force aimed at curbing reckless driving, excessive speeding, and street racing.
Police departments representing Bellevue, Issaquah, Redmond, and Kirkland on Thursday announced the creation of the Eastside Safe Streets Task Force, a partnership designed to address an increase in reckless driving, modified exhaust noise and street racing incidents across the region.
Beginning this weekend and continuing indefinitely, officers from the four agencies will combine resources to patrol neighborhoods most likely to attract reckless driving activity and events that encourage street racing.
