Drivers in Reno may have noticed a larger police presence and heavier traffic near Kuenzli Street and Wells Avenue.
A protest took place near the Wells Avenue bridge, drawing a crowd to the same area where Michael Johnson was recently shot and killed by police. Authorities say Johnson lunged at officers with a metal tow chain before the shooting.
Reno police briefly closed the Wells Avenue bridge as a precaution while officers monitored the gathering and directed traffic around the scene. The bridge has since reopened, but drivers are still being advised to use caution and expect possible delays…
