Rural Metro takes over South Tucson Fire Department

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Rural Metro Fire took over operations of the South Tucson Fire Department this month, following years of staffing and funding shortages.

The partnership comes after an agreement made by Pima County to provide $1.2 million over four years to assist the city with fire and emergency medical services.
