After Siena lacrosse coach Liam Gleason’s death, support has been ‘overwhelming in the most beautiful way’

Siena men’s lacrosse coach Liam Gleason and his wife, Jaclyn, welcomed 42 Saints players into their Halfmoon home last Easter.

The players couldn’t go home for the holiday, because Siena had a game the previous day at Canisius.

“We had an Easter egg hunt, an egg toss and what turned into an unforgettable Siena Easter,” Jaclyn Gleason recalled in an email interview this week. “It wasn’t planned or formal … it was just Liam creating a space where his players felt at home and wanted to be together. That was Liam. He didn’t just build teams … he built family.”…
