On eve of Valentine’s Day, couples renew vows, share secrets to long marriages at Jack’s Oyster House

ALBANY — Around 50 couples reaffirmed their marriages — some well over half-a-century long — during a vow renewal ceremony at Jack’s Oyster House.

The pre-Valentine’s Day ceremony, held on an auspicious Friday the 13th at the recently reopened State Street restaurant, was officiated by Mayor Dorcey Applyrs. Couples danced to live music as rose petals were scattered over the restaurant’s familiar black and white tiles.
