KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Underscoring the continued local impact of an ongoing national drug crisis, Kalamazoo police announced a new arrest this week tied to fentanyl, heroin and cocaine, while concurrently, a major West Michigan fentanyl trafficker was sentenced to years behind bars.
The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) said in a Friday announcement that the arrest of 24-year-old Darius Frazier followed a drug sales investigation by the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team and the Crime Reduction Team.
Officers executed a search warrant Tuesday at a home on Concord Place Drive in Oshtemo Township, where they found Frazier in his vehicle and took him into custody without incident, police said.
