KALAMAZOO, Mich. — On a night that seemed as though teams would be destined for revenge, it was history repeating Friday on the high school hoops circuit.
The Schoolcraft girls lost a late lead to Kalamazoo Christian, with the Comets getting a come-from-behind 35-33 win over the Eagles. Over on the boys side, Battle Creek Central badly wanted to repay Kalamazoo Central for defeating the Bearcats on their home court; instead, it was the Maroon Giants getting another big win, 85-46, over the visitors from Battle Creek.

Schoolcraft and Kalamazoo Christian were tied at 14 at the half with Schoolcraft holding an advantage heading into the final quarter. A slew of late free throws and a couple of timely buckets by Elli VanDusen -including the go-ahead basket with just 3.4 seconds left in the game -helped the Comets to their 13th win of the year.
