LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Since the winter storm last month, Steve Mitchell with Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal said his team has been busier than ever.
“We’ve definitely been slammed since all of the ice, trying to catch up with all of the leak calls,” Mitchell said.

He said there are things property owners could do to help prevent those leaks. The simplest way: being proactive by getting the roof checked twice a year.
“You want to make sure that the gutters and downspouts aren’t stopped up,” Mitchell said. “Anytime you slow the flow of water to get off that roof, that’s when everything starts backing up, damming up, and then that creates large problems on your roof.”…
