By Sara Beth Williams– — What was initially reported as a robbery with the brandishing of a firearm in broad daylight near a local park on Friday evening was later determined by police to be a staged scenario created for social media.
According to a statement released on Saturday by the Citrus Heights Police Department, officers received reports of a robbery on Friday evening involving individuals wearing masks and displaying what appeared to be a firearm. Police radio communications during the incident indicated that the incident took place near Rusch Park but not inside Rusch Park.
Three subjects were detained at the scene…
