RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – With Mardi Gras is full swing across Mississippi, the Reservoir community held their annual parade on Saturday.
The Krewe of the Rez parade rolled through the Waterwood subdivision. There were floats, trucks and wagons, and people tossed items like candy, toys and pencils. One trailer featured a live band.
“Today we’ve been seeing the smiles on the children’s faces and their parents. Everybody was being so sweet and kind. I don’t think I’ve been anywhere lately where I saw this many smiles on people’s faces,” said Jeannine May, director of Keep the Reservoir Beautiful.
