Livestock Finished 6th Overall at Dixie National Beef Contest

(February 14, 2026) Jackson, Mississippi – After a successful trip last week to Georgia, the men and women of UARM Livestock Judging hit the road again on Friday for the Dixie National Collegiate Beef Judging Contest. The team visited Van Voast Farms in Horatio a long the way for a workout.

Overall, the team finished 6th as a team in the Beef Judging Contest. The contest was divided into Breeding & Market animals followed by Reasons.

Individually, there were 75 judgers in the freshmen contest. Rylie Bignar (Prairie Grove, AR) finished one place outside the top 20 for the event with a 21st place finish on the day. Tierany Sloan (Exeter, MO) placed 25th overall, while Kaleb Self (Susan Moore, AL) and Anna Sweat (McCaskill, AR) placed 32nd and 37th, respectively, to finish in the top half of the field…
