ST. LOUIS — Police are investigating after a man died two days after being transported by officers to the hospital.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said on Thursday, officers responded to a disturbance call at 430 South 15th St., where the Amtrak Gateway station and Civic Center MetroLink stop are located.
At about 2 p.m., officers found 29-year-old Mark Smith, who had been detained by security. Police said Smith was “combative, acting erratically and was in a delusional state, yelling incoherently.”…
