Monday is Presidents Day. What’s open and what’s not in the metro-east?

Monday, Feb. 16 is Presidents’ Day, which was initially established to mark George Washington’s birthday, and is still celebrated as a federal holiday in Illinois and nationally.

Most major grocery store chains will be open regular hours on Presidents Day. Shoppers are encouraged to confirm hours with their local store, as exceptions may apply.
