Arkansas Commission to honor Daisy Gatson Bates with outdoor program at her home

LITTLE ROCK, AR (KATV) — Tuesday, February 17, the Arkansas Commission will be recognizing renowned Civil Rights leader Daisy Gatson Bates for her tireless contribution during Little Rock Central High Schools’ navigation through the era of integration.

In observation of the nation’s 250th birthday, the commission is hosting an outdoor program in front of her home at 1207 W. 28th Street.
