SEATTLE, Wash- Gonzaga Women’s Track will return from the Husky Classic with a brand new set of program records, as Rosina Machu and Greta Dani set respective new program records in the 3000 and 400 meters on Saturday.
Machu finished the 3000 meters in 8:55.35, the first Zag to ever break nine minutes in the event. She broke the previous program record by an astonishing 15 seconds. An outdoor track NCAA Championship qualifier in the 5000 and 1000 meters last year, Machu has now put her name in the national conversation in a third event thanks to her record breaking run in the 3k.
Greta Dani ran a 56.54 time in the 400 meters, setting a new sprint program record. She also ran a 25.54 time in the 200, nearly tying her existing program record in that distance as well…
