Star Arizona freshman Koa Peat out for 2nd half of Arizona loss with lower leg injury

Star Arizona freshman Koa Peat was ruled out for the second half of the Wildcats’ loss against Texas Tech on Saturday due to a lower leg injury.

Peat played 11 minutes in the first half and had two points, one rebound and one assist. He did not attempt a field goal and went 2 of 4 at the foul line. He exited with seven seconds left in the first half.

“I mean we’re gonna figure it out. It’s a lower leg deal,” Arizona coach Tommy Lloyd told reporters after Arizona’s 78-75 loss. “I know (athletic trainer Justin Kokoskie), and the doctors are on it, and I’m sure they’ll do some testing and we’ll figure out where it’s at, but I don’t have anything other than that.”…
