ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A man was robbed by a suspect wielding a machete and gun while renovating his home in Anne Arundel County, police said.

On Feb. 9 around 5:30 p.m., officers responded to an armed robbery that occurred in the 300 block of Caldwell Road in Pasadena. The investigation revealed that a 45-year-old man was renovating his home when another man asked to see the inside. The victim led the man into the basement, where the suspect pulled a machete and handgun, demanding money.
The suspect then stole the victim’s phone and bank card before punching him and fleeing in a black vehicle, police said.
