VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — The Virginia Beach Sheriff’s Office (VBSO) graduated Basic Academy Class 61 on Jan. 22, marking a unique milestone as a married couple completed the academy together.
Deputy Sheriff recruited Aaliyah and Jared Giel, both U.S. Marine Corps veterans, graduated side by side at the Law Enforcement Training Academy, officially becoming certified VBSO deputies.
