High Surf Advisory for Orange County Coast

The National Weather Service has issued a High Surf Advisory for Orange County Coastal Areas and San Diego County Coastal Areas. The advisory is in effect from 10 AM Monday, Feb 14 until 4 AM Thursday. Waves are expected to reach 8 to 10 feet, with sets up to 13 feet. Minor coastal flooding may occur.

The surf will peak Wednesday morning through Wednesday evening. Conditions will be dangerous for swimming and surfing, with a high risk of rip currents and possible beach erosion. Minor tidal overflow into parking lots and boardwalks is also possible. Swimmers are advised to stay out of the water and follow lifeguard instructions…
