Q&A: Saru Salvi wants to go all in to close students’ achievement gap

If there’s one thing you can bet on when Saru Salvi gets behind a mission, it’s that she won’t hold back.

“I am known for jumping in all the way,” she said. “And when I commit to something, I commit wholeheartedly.”

Salvi is retired, but she believes her business background — which includes an MBA — would provide a unique perspective to problem solving, particularly in finance, and negotiating partnerships to benefit the district’s mission.
