Vehicle crashes into Thomasville hotel, sets off gas leak; Crews working to restore gas service

THOMASVILLE, N.C. (WGHP) — A vehicle reportedly crashed into a hotel in Thomasville and caused a gas leak Saturday night.

Fire crews were on scene for about two hours, and, after an evacuation and ventilating the space, residents were able to return to their rooms.

“Thankful this was mitigated quickly and there were no injuries to residents or the driver,” said Thomasville Fire Chief Jason Myers.
