Winter storm warning for Riverside County Mountains
A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the Riverside County Mountains from 10 AM Monday, Feb 15 through 9 AM Thursday. Heavy snow is expected, with 3–6 inches between 6000–7000 ft, 6–12 inches above 7000 ft, and up to 24 inches above 8000 ft. Winds may gust up to 55 mph on ridges and desert slopes.
A second round of snow is expected Wednesday into Thursday, adding 4–9 inches at 6000–7000 ft and up to 12 inches above 8000 ft. Wind gusts could reach 70 mph on desert slopes.
