A late-night rush to Market Square ended with police and medics surrounding an unresponsive man on Forbes Avenue early Sunday, after he was found stabbed multiple times in the heart of Downtown Pittsburgh’s dining and nightlife district. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where officials later said his condition had been upgraded from critical to stable.
According to WPXI, Pittsburgh Public Safety officials said officers were called to Forbes Avenue around 12:30 a.m. for reports of a man lying unresponsive in the street. Detectives arriving at the scene determined he had been stabbed in the head and lower back before medics rushed him to an area hospital, where he was later listed as stable.
