SALEM, Va. — JuniorJackson Herndon (Chatham) posted a time of 1:56.72 in the indoor 800 meter run to place second among 46 runners, while leading Hampden-Sydney College at the Joe LaRocco Invite hosted by Roanoke College on Saturday at the Cregger Center in Salem. Herndon finished just behind Roanoke’s Elias Ammom and his winning time of 1:55.92.
Sophomore Jordan Chorbaji (Charlottesville) posted a collegiate-best time of 4:41.90 in the indoor mile to place 25th among 61 runners, just off the school-record time of 4:40.2. Junior Jefferson Duffey (Keysville) also ran the indoor mile and posted a time of 5:37.41 to finish 60th. The University of Lynchburg’s Aidan Riggle won the event with his time of 4:25.27.
