ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A second-alarm fire damaged a home on Eiffel Place Saturday night, according to the Rochester Fire Department.
Crews were called to the residence around 8:45 p.m. and arrived within 3 minutes to find heavy fire in the stairway. Firefighters declared a working fire on arrival and began advancing toward the source of the flames.
Due to the home’s complex layout and significant fire involvement, incident commanders requested a second alarm to bring in additional personnel.
All residents were able to evacuate before firefighters arrived. Two dogs were rescued from the home, and one person was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No firefighters were hurt…
