BRADENTON, Fla. (WWSB) – For the past four decades, people have gathered in one of Florida’s last true fishing villages for a commercial fishing festival celebrating the history of Cortez Village and supporting local fishermen and women who provide fresh local seafood.
The 44th annual Commercial Fishing Festival took place today with this year’s theme “boat to market.” The Florida Institute for Saltwater Heritage organized the event, featuring live music, art, local caught seafood and a fisherman fashion show.
