Five Arrested After Reckless Gunfire Endangers Fort Worth Neighborhood

FORT WORTH, Texas – On Sunday, February 8, 2026, at approximately 9:23 p.m., Central Division officers responded to the 3200 block of Yuma Street near Mississippi Avenue following reports of a person with a weapon.

The department’s Real Time Crime Center (RTCC) reviewed surveillance footage that showed multiple individuals firing guns recklessly in the area and toward a nearby neighborhood. Several 9-1-1 callers reported that bullets were passing close to them, forcing them to drop to the ground for safety and leaving them in fear of serious bodily injury or death.

RTCC analysts were able to obtain a license plate number from the footage, and officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop in the area. During the stop, one passenger was observed pulling a handgun from his waistband and attempting to conceal it under the front passenger seat…
