The D-2 district boys wrestling tournament concluded on Saturday at Elm Creek. Among the area teams who competed were Anselmo-Merna, Ansley/Litchfield, Arcadia/Loup City, SEM, and Twin Loup. The top four wrestlers in each weight class qualified for the state tournament in Omaha.
Twin Loup qualified five wrestlers for state. Oran Grint helped lead the way for the Wolves winning the district title at 165 lbs. Qualifying for state as the district runner up were Cazen Smith at 157 lbs. and Blake Bottorf at 215. Brent Schipporeit was third at 285 lbs. and Emmett Grint qualified for state finishing third at 150 lbs.
Arcadia/Loup City qualified two wrestlers for state and they were both district champions. Joseph Ducker won the district title at 175 lbs. and Wyatt Stieb was the district champion at 215….
