A meetup arranged over social media turned into a parking-lot ambush, and now a San Antonio man is in jail. Police say a 21-year-old man was lured to the lot on Aug. 17, 2025, and shot once in the arm. Wounded but able to drive, he pulled into a nearby food truck for help and was taken to a hospital in stable condition. Investigators say the alleged gunman used a woman’s phone, pretended to be her online, and set up the encounter.
According to an arrest warrant cited by KENS5, the suspect is 20-year-old Jesus Nunez Hernandez. The warrant states Hernandez allegedly grabbed the woman’s phone, used her Facebook account to message the victim, and arranged the meeting.
