The city of Conroe will open an outdoor, lighted archery range at Owen Park this spring bringing a new activity to the park within the San Jacinto River flood zone.
In November, the city approved spending $250,000 of hotel and occupancy taxes on the project. Construction has started and is expected to take 30 to 60 days to complete, said Nancy Mikeska, Conroe’s deputy city administrator and director of community development.
