BOISE, Idaho – The Whitman College swimming teams used a strong second day at the Northwest Conference Championships to tighten the race in both team standings and individual events Saturday at the Idaho Aquatic Complex.
Through 24 events, the Whitman men sit in third place with 270.5 points, just behind University of Puget Sound (347.5) and leader Whitworth (594). The Whitman women are locked in a tie for fourth at 263 points with George Fox, with Whitworth (488) and Puget Sound (319) pacing the field.
Whitman opened the evening with a big relay podium, as the quartet of Adrian Dulong, Elliot Yung, Ian McClelland and Brodie Salzbrener powered the Blues to third in the 200-yard medley relay in 1:33.96.…
