WATERVLIET — Bob’s Diner is missing Bob.
The 75-year-old founder of the 24-hour diner on Watervliet’s main strip, Robert “Bob” Ziter, died Friday after a brief illness.
The death was a shock to staffers who saw Ziter daily until his last visit to the diner on Feb. 8. He handed the decades-old operation over to his son Ryan in recent years, but he never retired…
