Scouts to offer spaghetti dinner

BEACH CITY – Beach City Scout Troop 301 will have its annual all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Beach City American Legion Post 549, 125 Third Ave. NE. The cost for adults (11 and older) is $10; youths (ages 5 through 10), $5; children younger than 5 eat free.

Black History event: ‘Camp Delaware’ film screening

CANTON – The McKinley Presidential Library and Museum, 800 Monument Drive NW, will screen the film “Camp Delaware” from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 26. The cost is $25 per person, which includes admission to the film screening, popcorn, and beverages.

Curator of Black History Tameka Ellington and filmmakers Mark and Francine Butler will attend the film that depicts the story of the Black Union Army soldiers preparing for the Civil War battle.

Robert Alexander Pinn was born in Perry Township, trained at Camp Delaware and fought with the 5th U.S. Colored Infantry Regiment in 1863. His final resting place is the Massillon City Cemetery…
