Police seeking leads in 2016 fatal shooting at east Columbus Waffle House

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Nearly 10 years after a fatal shooting at an east Columbus Waffle House, police are still looking for leads in the case.

According to Central Ohio Crime Stoppers, a man was killed in the parking lot of the Columbus diner located on North Cassady Avenue, just east of John Glenn International Airport.

Officers arrived at the scene just after 2 a.m. and found 29-year-old Chase Breitigam in the driver’s seat of his vehicle, a gray 2012 Chevrolet Traverse. Police said Breitigam was approached by two men in the Waffle House parking lot and was fatally shot.

The suspects fled the scene while Breitigam was pronounced dead by emergency medics. For a previous report on this story view the video player above.
