17-year-old German Village-area restaurant abruptly closes

A lauded restaurant known for “farm-to-table” comfort classics announced their sudden closure over the weekend.

Skillet, located at 410 E. Whittier St., posted a sign on their door that reads, “After 17 wonderful years serving the Columbus community, we are writing to share the bittersweet news that Skillet will be closing its doors.”

Owned by the Caskey Family, they did not share why they closed in their announcement, but expressed tremendous gratitude for Columbus and their staff…
