Winchester, VA – Greensboro College Men’s Wrestling competed in the ODAC Championships on Saturday on the campus of Shenandoah. Senior Mitch Johnson was the highest finisher for Greensboro, coming in second place in the 141lb weight class.
Johnson won his first two matches of the day to reach the championship match. He defeated Mauricio Reyes of Averett by decision 9-7, and then took down Jake Yowell of Roanoke via a 4-3 decision. Johnson would face Skyler Hickman in the championship round but lose by decision 5-1. Ethan Kring finished fourth place in the 174lb class, going 2-2. Nick Menjvar also finished fourth in the 165lb weight class after going 1-2.
Triston Woodard went 1-2 in the 133 pound class while Jordan Warren went 2-2 in the 184lb division. As a team, Greensboro finished in sixth place with 70.5 points. Roanoke College was the team champion…
