Here are a few of the big changes coming to Williamson County in 2026

Williamson County is planning a lot of changes in the coming year.

From new businesses and restaurants to larger than life community members leaving, here’s what residents can expect in the coming months.

Restaurants

Char (late 2026) — With roots beginning in 2001 in Jackson, Mississippi, and locations in Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee, Char specializes in meat, fresh seafood and New Orleans-style jazz brunches. They offer unique dining experiences that span from morning coffee to post-work happy hour and vibrant culinary concepts. Additionally, Char hosts local jazz musicians nightly in its signature piano bar in conjunction with the Nashville Jazz Workshop.

In-N-Out (2026) — In late 2025, California-based In-N-Out Burger has updated its website to reflect a “coming soon” status for the new Williamson County eatery in the Berry Farms area. The change comes a little more than two years after state officials first announced the chain’s eastward expansion with a new corporate hub in Tennessee. While an opening date has not been confirmed for Franklin, the restaurant has already begun the hiring process for crew members…
