WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Wilmington officially netted 0.96 inches of beneficial rain Sunday and Sunday night. Clouds will linger for part or most of Presidents Day, but 99% of the rain is wrapped, and high temperatures will be in the 50s amid a brisk north breeze. Slackening winds and lows in the 30s could play host to patchy fog and frost Monday night. Your First Alert Forecast for Tuesday features some partly sunny 60s and, under the guidance of high pressure later in the week, inland areas are likely to swell well into the 70s for daily highs. Misty and cooler 60s may yet be favored along some cold waterways; your First Alert Weather Team will advise.
