ST. GABRIEL, La. (WAFB) – Just two weeks after touting reforms and appointing a new warden at Elayn Hunt, inmate Jarod Thompson, 32, died over the weekend. An autopsy is pending.
The same weekend brought a crackdown on contraband. Iberville Sheriff’s Deputies arrested four people on felony charges after vehicle searches uncovered illegal items. Investigators stressed the arrests are unrelated to Thompson’s death.
